Michael Parr – After 50 years

by MackarnessLunt | Dec 8, 2021 | Firm news

After 50 years at Mackarness & Lunt Michael Parr has decided to retire at the end of this year. Michael joined us in 1972, fresh out of school and having no knowledge of the law. He progressed successfully through his Legal Executive Examinations to become a Fellow in September 1980. Michael went on to become a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners in August 1996 and later became a full accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly in September 2002. During his time at Mackarness & Lunt Michael has met and helped many Clients, some of whom have become friends. It was also where he met his wife, Linda, who came to the firm to be his secretary. Michael has enjoyed the friendly, family atmosphere at Mackarness & Lunt. In his retirement Michael intends to spend more time with Linda and their dog Pudsey, not to mention more days fishing on the riverbank and playing snooker. Although we are sad to see Michael go and will miss him very much, we wish him every happiness in his retirement. The Private Client team has grown considerably since Michael first joined us and Sarah Baker-Brown (partner) with Nadine Walsh-Gonzales and Emily Dicks together with support staff Diane Anderson, Lucy Christopher and Jane Perkins will continue to offer a first-class service to our clients. Michael’s existing clients will be allocated to one of the team and they will be notified as to who will be dealing with their file.
